This course gives you a basic understanding of how to work safely in excavations and what important points are required to consider when working in an excavation. This course provides a focus on OSHA standards and on the safety aspects of excavation and trenching. Learn practical soil mechanics and its relationship to the stability of shored and un-shored slopes and walls of excavations. Various types of shoring (wood timbers and hydraulic) are covered, testing methods.
